We are experienced Oil heating engineers of many years. Whether its a complete new heating system from scratch, or a replacement boiler or upgrade. Whether you require conventional, system or combi boiler - we can do it!
As part of the installation we can bring the old system up to current standards and energy saving building regulations and environmental safety standards. We can replace old rusty steel tanks with modern plastic “bunded” ones, complete with a remote viewable electronic fuel gauge. We can convert gravity fed heating systems to fully pumped and convert open vent systems to sealed systems. We always advocate power flushing of existing systems to remove sludge and debris caused by corrosion. We can also divide the system into separate zones if practical to do so. We recommend the addition of thermostatic radiator valves and energy saving controls like weather compensation as well as low energy circulating pumps.
Older boilers are at best 60-70% efficient. Modern ‘A” rated condensing boilers are upwards of 90% efficient. This is an instant saving of 20-30% in running costs which can be further improved when combined with other energy saving measures listed above. They are also “room sealed” making them intrinsically safe as far as carbon monoxide pollution in the home is concerned. They have “powered” flues which makes siting them more flexible.
These condensing oil boilers reduce fuel consumption, cut costs and cut carbon emissions, saving money and the environment. It can give a property a higher score on its energy performance rating (see below).
We are also able to integrate Oil boiler systems with renewable energy technologies like Solar Thermal. Or integrate them with log burning burning back boilers or even both of them! We are OFTEC registered as well as Registered Heating Professionals (RHP) and Registered Plumbers (RP) with the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers (CIPHE). We have full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance and guarantee all our work, parts and labour for 12 months.

Competence
These appliances are termed a “controlled appliance” in law.. and they must be fitted by a “competent person” who is suitably qualified and a member of a government approved competent persons scheme to ensure they are safe - and comply with all relevant building regulations and standards in force, they must also be registered with the local building control department who keep a record. These are usually “searched” when a property is bought or sold and can hold up the sale of a property if missing. For your peace of mind we hold all relevant certifications as required and are members of relevant government approved industry bodies for installation and registration of these “controlled appliances” and are “competent persons” as defined in relevant law.
